Making the band... and grade.
Badong is going to be in band this year. He starts school tomorrow with the hopes of getting drums or tuba??? We will soon see. Last week was open house. We talked to some teachers and heard the Principal(s) speeches. He will take some placement tests to see if he can take a couple of honors classes. (Cross fingers) We actually saw a few of his class mates from his old elementary school there, so I was glad to see that he will have some familiar faces around as well as exciting new experiences for this school year. 6th Grade will be a big year for all of us.

Day at Water Park
We went to the local water park over the weekend. Ewert Park is really close to our house so it was nice to go somewhere local to get "out of the heat." It was the 1st time for Liam to go to the park. Marq actually went there the weekend before. It was a lot of fun for everyone. We are planning to head over there this weekend if we have time. The big UFC fight "party" is this Sat. so we have have to delay for the next weekend. But either way I'm sure we will have a lot of fun.
Happy Baby
Liam was being super silly this weekend. He was just hamming it up like his big brother. We got him a new Tickle me Ernie and got a huge kick out of it. I got it for Ben actually. He is Ben's favorite character in Sesame Street. Liam just loves his Elmo so of course he got into Ernie right off the bat. Of course, after that he got a hold of my sunglasses. He knew how to put them on himself and it was super cute. I could not stop laughing. He was making the cutest faces. I can not get enough of his faces.
Itsy Bitsy Spider...
Poor little Liam had a trip to the hospital last week. A Brown Recluse apparently bit him in his sleep. He woke up screaming and when we realized what had happen, after a few mins. of watching the bite, we took him to the hospital. It was getting bigger and getting a white ring around the bite. They gave him some Orapred and Benadryl and sent us off with more medication and a few instructions. He was very brave and of course entertained all the nurses that came by to see him. I think he asked a couple of them for a cookie too. His new favorite word is "Cookie!" He calls all his snacks and crackers that. After a few days of the medicine, his bite got smaller but regretfully after a week it is still there. It is a little discolored still but the doctor said as long as it is not swollen or looking infected he would be fine. Hopefully is will go aways without scarring.
