Growing Up

My little man is growing up. I clearly remember Beej's high pitch voice in the Lemon China house in Guam. How he would be in our rooms 24/7... Those thoughts were always in my mind when I look at Badong. I am blown away at how Badong has grown. Now my little one is now not having a not so high voice; he is wearing men's small, packing up his Build A Bears and Lil' man things. He has made the Honor Roll and promising Saxophonist. Of course, the best Kuya ever. And under that mop of a head, he is a looker.

Puddle Jumpers

Liam and Marq went to the park and decided to go exploring. Marq being Marq rolled up his jeans and started to walk in the little creek. After an hour of watching Kuya afar, Liam decided to just in on the fun. Of course, once he started there was no ending. He was soaked. Lucky for us we had extra clothes for him in the car. It was funny. Then again it helped with Kuya Marq hamming it up with the chase and splish splashing.

Never Again

We have been going to Micheal's for our framing for the last 2 years. The last 3 jobs have been a total nightmare. New staff this past year?? I dunno. We had Ben's Batik framed there and spent $190 on a custom frame job, this was after 60% BTW... There was some damage on the corner which she did a quick touch up job so the scratch would not show. {This was a family heirloom that Ben got from his Uncle that passed last year.} Not a big deal, but the prior job before that one, was 2 shadow boxes which we had original sketches framed in that were bought in Monetary, Cali at a street fair. Not fine art from a Gallery but they are beautiful. The shadow boxes turned out OK but after hanging them, they fell off the wires in our room 2 months later. We took them back and the lady in charge of the dept told us that they framed them wrong and said she would re-do them... so far so good. Well, we got them back and now the front of the matting around the art was badly matted and the frame is bowing. She then blamed us for the bad choice of frame... Hmm. Give me a refund. Sadly, we had already given them a 3rd job in the middle of all that. The awesome "Liam" print Sally gave us. OMG!!!! How can you mess that up?!? It was a special order mat with a 2 inch area around it. I got it back with the frame damaged and smudged. Of course she had to blame me... Yes, I would purposely buy a crappy frame so I hang it on my wall. On top of that I can pay you to mat a print in it??? I was extremely upset. Only of course after she had me run back and forth to the car with Liam in hand to look for the receipt, she had gotten something done. By then I was pissed. I just want my money back. I'll go to Hobby Lobby! I was to the point of telling her off but Liam was there... {Leave it to your kids to keep you in check.} I told her to just fix it. I was practically to tears. The day before they could not even find the print. For those who do not know.. majority of the time, if I have tears, I am beyond pissed. Angry, wanting to tell you off, and hurt you pissed. Anyway, the day before, it took them 35 mins. to find the print and I saw the employee dig though stacks of card boards and boxes and to find the frame and mat. {Yeah, I can see how this was all my fault.} After all this this lady assured me that he District manager will be there tomorrow with a replacement frame and they will fix the problem. I told her just fix it. My husband will be here tomorrow and you can deal with him...

Sever Wind Event???

There was a big storm over in this area last Friday. We happen to lose power for 2 1/2 days... Missing those days of Guam?? I think not! Luck for us we bought a generator in January for the Ice Storms. The food was a total loss but still we had some lights and fans to keep us cool thanks to the generator. We even dug out the old TV/VCR combo for entertainment. Liam thinks VHS is the newest and greatest thing...lol. He has discovered Aladdin and Toy Story from watching our old movies.
Mom had a tree fall over her shed in her back yard. There were lots of fallen trees everywhere. We were lucky not to get any damage at our house. But some of the neighbors were not that lucky. (See photo) He lost a chuck of his new fence thanks to that tree. It was such a big mess. Just glad things are starting to look cleared up now.

Mother's Day

Mommy and her "Little Man"

Ben had to work on Mother's Day, so for we celebrated at night. I had a great dinner with my boys. Outback Steakhouse - YUMMY! I got a new cabinet for my scrapbook stuff from the kids. That was needed badly! I can not wait till we get it set up. Ben is going to build it on his day off. I finally can get all my stuff together, or at least most of it.

My sexy thing with "Boogie Man"

It's your turn!

As Marq was growing up, we would take photos of him sleeping. Of course, Marq is having his fun now. Liam looks so peaceful when he is sleeping. These days, he is a bundle of energy.

Aww so sweet!

See what I can do...

Just showing off his love for shoes. Liam will put his shoes on just for kicks. Of course this time he had to mix it up a bit.
